In honour of Employee Appreciation Day, we decided to give you an insight of what it is like to be a Cruise Nation member of staff…

Getting up in the morning can be like Groundhog Day for some workers – it is the same routine of get up, get ready, go to work and get back home.

At Cruise Nation, things are a little different. Our Managing Director, Phil Evans, has created a great work/life balance environment which is often something that employers overlook.

He always welcomes staff’s children to visit the office, work at home days and other flexible benefits to create an easy and stress free working environment.  There is no clocking in and time watching as all members of staff are very committed and they treat the company as if it was their own. At the end of the day, having a happy worker means that you will always get the best out of them – The free cake, chocolate, biscuits is always a welcomed bonus, too…

One of the main roles at the office is finding the best packages by the amazing Products Team – Sam, Chris, Jamie, Andrew and Craig. They work meticulously to dynamically package the most competitive deals out there which they create on the website. It’s no secret that this one of our busiest teams here at Cruise Nation purely because things change so quickly in the travel market.

Once the Products team have found the lowest cruise prices they can find, they then pass the deal onto the web team – Neil, Guy, Mike, and Stefan, who then bring the product offerings to life and let our customers know about them as soon as they become available.

Once the message is out there from the web team, it’s time for our sales team step up and prepare themselves for the calls to come in. Admittedly, things can get a little manic at times (especially if it’s a flash sale!), but they do a fantastic job of keeping calm and are one of the friendliest people you will ever meet.

Cruise Nation’s family orientated set up shows that it really cares about their staff, customers and  in being the best at what they do.

There are not many working environments where people are happy to come to work and are full of energy and are always in high spirits. This is because they love their jobs and treat their colleagues not as colleagues but as family.

So, we would like to say that it’s not the company that has made all of this happen but the amazing staff that give over and above every day. We would like to say a big, BIG thank you to all Cruise Nations Staff members – We really do appreciate you!

…And of course we wouldn’t be here without our fantastic customers to make our day at work that little bit more special, so a big thank you to you, too.
