Alexander Nevsky Cathedral
Visit this spectacular classic onion domed 19th century Russian Orthodox church which dominates Palace Square, the interior is filled with mosaics and icons and is certainly worth a visit.
Kadriorg Palace
This grand, Baroque palace was founded by Peter the Great in 1718, now houses the Art Museum of Estonia's foreign collection. The manicured gardens and flowerbeds are ideal for taking a relaxed stroll.
Toompea Hill
Toompea Hill is home to some of Tallinn's oldest architectural wonders and home to Palace Square. Make sure to check out the view points, some of which offer great views over the city.
Viru Gate
These two remaining picturesque towers were part of the defence system of Tallinn city wall built in the 14th century and have become a symbol of the town.
Kiek en de Kok
This famous 38m high cannon tower was one of the era's mightiest defensive bastions houses an extensive museum of the town's fortifications, weapons and medieval era life.
Town Hall Square
The Town Hall was built in 1402 and has been a highlight of the city ever since, the square hosts open air concerts, festivals, craft fairs and medieval markets.
