Restaurants

Britannia Restaurant

Your table is reserved for breakfast, lunch and dinner in one of the sophisticated main restaurants aboard. Each is the home of deliciously imaginative menus, exceptional wines and impeccable service. Britannia Restaurant with its sweeping staircases and stained-glass dome roof opens daily for all three meals. It is the largest main dining room aboard the Queen Mary 2. Tables are fixed so you can sit at the same table with the same tablemates each day, if you wish.

Britannia Club Restaurant

Britannia Club Restaurant shares its menu with Britannia but offers flexible dining times in a more intimate environment.

Princess Grill

Breakfast, lunch and dinner is available for suite passengers. Lunch options include a selection of low-calorie dishes as well as regular options and desserts. Typical dishes include grilled pork cutlet with horseradish mash or a pasta dish with arugula, sun-dried tomatoes and a chicken sauce. Two menus are available in the evening: The Dinner is A La Carte to allow for more choice.

Kings Court Buffet

The ship's ultra-stylish and comprehensive buffet is almost always on the go from 5 am to 2 am. Beautifully decorated in Art Deco style, this on trend buffet offers a very diverse selection of food.

The cheese station is impressive and includes several different types of cheese, chutneys, crackers and accompaniments like a selection of nuts. Desserts usually include selections of dishes such as cheesecake, tiramisu, and chocolate mousse cake, along with one hot dessert.

Carinthia Lounge

The ship's Carinthia Lounge offers some of the dishes on the ship. It makes a great alternative to Kings Court's breakfasts and lunches because of its small gourmet plates. Breakfast has classic eggs Florentine and breakfast panini, as well as a range of gourmet pastries, yogurt and granola pots available. At lunchtime, passengers can graze on an equally appetising selection of plates, which are all freshly prepared by the chefs behind the counter.

Kings Court

Between 7pm and 9 pm, part of Kings Court is transformed into a speciality dining venue. They have a different theme for every night of the week, including Mexican, Italian, Pan-Asian, Indian, Smokehouse etc. Each individual menu also features a tailored selection of drinks.

The Verandah

This stylish steakhouse celebrates the American steakhouse in refined elegance. It's the small touches of decadence such as the delicious homemade pull-apart bread that's brought to the table covered in sweet butter and herbs that sets this restaurant apart from the rest. Enjoy the feel of a Michelin-Starred restaurant at The Verandah due to the restaurant's chefs who pack serious culinary flair into every dish.

Bars and Lounges

Golden Lion Pub

A favourite among guests throughout the day, this beautifully decorated L-shaped bar offers a large variety of wines, cocktails and beers on tap and in bottles. They have their own dartboard for competitions and host regular entertainment events as well as having their own live pianist. Have a look out for their terrific karaoke events that take place late evening.

Carinthia Lounge

This striking lounge host several activities during the day and the venue is a low-key affair in the evening, with live jazz music and a focus on Iberian wines, sherries, and a special vintage port collection. Other drinks are available, including hot and cold illy cocktails, beer, cider, spirits, soft drinks, tea and coffee.

Laurent Perrier Champagne Bar

Situated in the ship's Grand Lobby, the outstanding Laurent Perrier Champagne Bar is known for serving champagne. They also have Caviar tastings to complement your glass of bubbles.

The Tasting Room

The venue hosts food and wine pairing events and themed wine tastings. It does not come cheap though as the usual cost of a wine tasting is $115 per person.

Sir Samuel's

The Queen Mary 2's coffee bar, serves speciality illy coffee and other drinks. They also have an exclusive partnership with luxury chocolate brand Godiva, offering a selection of chocolate cakes, confectionary, and Godiva's very indulgent ice creams.

Churchill's Cigar Lounge

Quiet during the day, this classy cigar lounge comes to life at night, when the ship's cigar-loving passengers indulge in a good cognac or whiskey and conversation.

Chart Room

While this venue is understated, it holds a secret. If you are on a westbound transatlantic crossing, it offers the perfect sunset view, which you can enjoy with a refreshing glass of Champagne and the backdrop of live music. Some guests are lucky enough to even spot dolphins from this room's windows.

Commodore Club

The ship's observation lounge is just as popular for a morning coffee or daytime beverage as it is an evening cocktail. Live music plays from late afternoon through early evening.

Empire Casino Bar

This well-stocked bar allows you the chance to enjoy a drink during a game or to celebrate in style afterwards by pulling up a stool behind the bar and enjoying a top shelf drink.

Activities

Royal Court Theatre

The ship's main two-tier theatre is a beautiful space with plush red seating wrapped around a central stage that features an LED screen. It features a variety of talks and shows during the day, including short productions and workshops performed on selected voyages by the Royal Academy of Dramatic.

At night, you can watch the resident Royal Court Singers & Dancers stage dazzling West-End style productions or abridged Shakespeare performances. They've also hand-picked a talented line-up of vocalists and instrumentalists, aerial performers and illusionists, stand-up comedians and variety entertainers.

Illuminations Theatre

The theatre on deck three houses the ship's Planetarium, with daily shows, such as 'Stars Over the Atlantic' and 'Cosmic Collisions.' Tickets are limited and available every morning from 9 am. Make sure you come early as the doors close and seats are given away at a certain time before the show. The 500-seat venue is also a movie theatre, with screenings taking place twice a day.

Queen's Room

The impressive 10,500-square-foot Queens Room is the largest ballroom at sea and offers ballroom or Latin dancing every night. For an exclusive Cunard activity, guests can try their hand at fencing. Taking place every morning at 9 am and conducted by the ship's sports host, the class alternates between class one and class two levels.

Empire Casino

The Empire Casino is located next to the Grand Lobby and features roulette, blackjack, various slot machines and three card poker. The casino hosts special events in the evening, such as raffle prize draws or Happy Hour Slots.

G32

Named after the Queen Mary 2's code name during construction, this lively night club offers terrific music and dancing from 9:45 pm to 3 am. The venue is only open to guests over the age of 18 and offers a DJ as well as live music and tribute acts.

Kids Clubs

The Queen Mary 2 has dedicated clubs offering age appropriate activities and entertainment. These include arts and crafts, sporting activities, play areas, computer games and much more. They can make friends with other children at The Play Zone, for two- to seven-year-olds, and The Zone which is ideal for eight- to 17-year-olds. The ship's youth staff will supervise children, organise events, activities and competitions, and even excursions to the theatre or cinema on board.
