Cavalcada dels Reis Mags (Three Kings Celebration)

The Cavalcada dels Reis Mags (Three Kings Celebration) is one of the most beloved and iconic events in Majorca. Taking place every year on January 5th, this colorful fiesta celebrates the arrival of the Three Wise Men into Bethlehem after Jesus’ birth. Traditionally, men dress in vibrant costumes to portray Melchior, Balthazar, and Gaspar—the Three Kings who visited baby Jesus with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. During the parade, they distribute sweets, toys, and other treats to children as they parade through the streets of towns and villages across the island. Palma, the capital city, hosts the main fiesta, but many other resorts and towns also stage their own versions of this festive event. It’s a joyful occasion that brings communities together to honor tradition and share in the spirit of giving.
