What's included?
On your Cunard cruise, you’ll have plenty included. Your accommodation, dining, entertainment, access to health and wellbeing facilities and children’s clubs all come with the standard fare.
What is the tipping/gratuities policy?
To make sure the efforts of the crew are recognised, a set gratuities charge will be added for each day you’re on board. The charge will differ depending on the accommodation you’re staying in - Queens and Princess Grill Suites guests will be charged US$18pp per day, and Britannia Staterooms guests will be charged US$16pp per day.
You’ll also have a 15% service charge added to each beverage purchase in the bars and restaurants during your cruise.
Are drinks included/what are the cost of drinks packages?
At no additional cost, guests on Cunard Cruises can enjoy tea, coffee, water and fruit juice throughout the day at the Lido Restaurants on Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria, and Kings Court on board Queen Mary 2. During mealtimes, water and coffee are also complimentary. Staying in one of the Queens Grill suites? You’ll get a complimentary mini-bar, stocked with two bottles of wine or spirits of your choice and soft drinks.
Cocktails, wines, speciality teas, coffees and other drinks are all available for an additional charge. Packages are available to reduce costs and these cover everything from hot or soft drinks to their 'create your own' collection tailored to your preferences. The cost of these will vary based on the duration of your cruise and which package you’d prefer, with the cheapest being $13.50.
What is the dress code?
During the day, there’s a casual dress code. So, shorts, t-shirts and jeans are acceptable as you enjoy your time onboard. After 6pm, smart or Gala Evening attire must be worn in the majority of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues so make sure to pack your best clothes. If you’d prefer a more casual evening, you can dress down in a selection of the more relaxed dining areas and bars. However, guests should be aware that after 6pm short, sports attire, swimwear or sleeveless t-shirts are not permitted to be worn outside of the gym, spa or deck areas.
What plugs/voltage is required?
UK 3-pin and US 2-pin sockets can be found onboard all Cunard Line ships.
Are there laundry facilities onboard?
There’s nothing better than fresh clothes to get you prepared for a formal night or day at shore, and with Cunard’s laundry services, you can relax knowing that your items can be washed, dry cleaned, and ironed on a same day or 48 hour service at a small fee. Prefer to handle your own laundry? Self-service washing machines, dryers and ironing boards are all available for guests to use at a charge.
Can I use my mobile from the ship?
So long as you’ve alerted your mobile phone network that you’ll be travelling and you have international roaming switched on, you should be able to use your phone as normal while at sea with Cunard Line.
