The World stage is the Koningsdam's main performance stage, offering unobstructed views and 270-degree screens that are used during performances. The screen does come into its own, however, with the onboard performers, in shows such as 'OneWorld,' 'Musicology' and the screening of the BBC's 'The Frozen Planet,' which is accompanied by a specially composed score. Expect magic shows, tribute bands, and music and dance revues.

The first of its kind for Holland America Line and the only purpose-built wine-blending venue at sea, BLEND has a tasting table that accommodates 10 guests who can create their own blend from a selection of five barrels of single-vineyard red wine.

The jogging track is on deck eleven as are a number of pieces of outdoor exercise equipment. There is a large Sports Deck on Deck 11, which has basketball and soccer tournaments throughout the day. There are also shuffleboard and Ping-Pong tables dotted around the Lido Deck Pool.

The intimate casino has a variety glittering slot machines as well as a great variety of table games. There are blackjack and Texas Hold'em tournaments in the Casino. Complimentary gaming lessons are held in the casino and some nights are non-smoking.

The spa has an impressive thermal suite, which includes access to multiple saunas, a steam room, aromatherapy room, relaxation room with heated ceramic loungers and a hydrotherapy pool. Treatments onboard are provided using Elemis brand products. A dedicated salon offers hair, nail and men's services.

This fitness centre features an impressive array of cutting-edge fitness machines such as stationary bikes, rowing machines, ellipticals and weight machines, plus treadmills that face floor-to-ceiling windows over the ocean. Some of their classes are free but others like pilates and yoga are charged per class. The facility also includes a Ryde Indoor Cycling room and TRX Suspension Training room.

The Lido pool has two hot tubs and is protected from inclement weather by the ship's retractable glass roof. This beautiful double-storey space is also flanked by plenty of bars and eateries for convenience. The Koningsdam's outdoor Sea View pool overlooks the sea and is served by the Sea View Bar.

This exciting venue offers live auctions, gallery exhibitions and educational seminars throughout the cruise. Works on display are for sale and features paintings, drawings, watercolours, mixed-media works, sports memorabilia and animation art.

Club Hal has age-appropriate activities for kids aged three to twelve. It is subdivided into two groups, 3-7 and 8-12 years old with activities on offer ranging from stories and treasure hunts to pizza parties and arts and crafts. There is also a fun-filled teen club called the Loft, which was designed to resemble a New York artist's loft. It is the perfect hangout space for teens with some activities on offer such as mocktail making, sports competitions, cooking demonstrations and nightclub events. There is also a video arcade next door.
