Norwegian Breakaway has a luxurious resort-like feel because of the sheer amount of locations available on board and the top quality of the entertainment, dining, bars and shows. Its home port, New York, is the inspiration for this beautiful ship and is reflected in the beautiful artwork on the hull, in the themed spaces and atmospheric lounges, and through an entertainment programme to match any Broadway season.

There are activities and dedicated spaces for all age-groups, and those travelling without children will also find plenty of cosy spots for rest and relaxation. Its fabulous destinations include: The Caribbean, Europe, as well as doing transatlantic and repositioning cruises.

The Manhattan Room

This main restaurant is fashioned after a New York City Supper Club and has its own dance floor and bandstand. You can find it on deck seven and it offers panoramic ocean views from its very large windows. This very stylish dining room only opens for dinner daily from 5.30 PM until 9.30 PM.

Savor Restaurant

This is the second main dining room, located on deck six, which opens daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It shares its menu with the other two main dining rooms and offers traditional cuisine with a contemporary flair.

Taste Restaurant

Taste is another dinner only main dining room with a similar menu to the two other restaurants, bar one or two dishes. Their menu is very expansive and changes every day to make sure there is always something for everyone. They cater for all food preferences and intolerance and vegan and vegetarian foods are clearly marked.

O'Sheehan's

O'Sheehans is open 24 hours a day and is the perfect place to get your fill of British style breakfasts and pub food. Expect a full English breakfast and pub classics like fish and chips and chicken wings. They also have their own Ice Cream bar, where you can buy your favourite ice cream or milkshake. Their huge screen shows movies and ports and they also have other activities like air hockey, pool and miniature bowling available.

Shanghai Noodle Bar

Here, you can watch the show as chefs slice, dice, steam and fry delectable potstickers, shrimp dumplings, beef chow fun, and Peking shrimp and chicken. The noodles are spot on and they also have some lovely dessert options.

Garden Cafe

The lovely Garden Cafe buffet is on deck fifteen. They serve daily breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as having some evening snacks available. While there's plenty of space available, the seats become much busier during their peak hours that range from 8 to 9:30 am on port days and noon to 1 pm for lunch on sea days.

The Haven

For cruisers staying in a suite in the Haven complex, this pretty restaurant has a more refined menu than the other main dining rooms. It opens daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and also caters for vegetarians as well as those with special diet requirements. The food here is top class and the service is impeccable.

Le Bistro

This cover charge French restaurant has classically French décor, with stylish indoor seating as well as more relaxed alfresco outdoor seating. It opens daily from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM and has some of the best French cuisine available ranging from appetisers, soups and salads to meats and seafood, and some classic desserts such as Apple Tatin and Creme Brulee.

Teppanyaki

This intimate Japanese dining venue only serves a small number of guests at any one time, so reservations come highly recommended. This unique restaurant allows you to see Japanese hibachi meals cooked in front of you by chefs performing tricks with the food and their cooking utensils.

Cagney's Steakhouse

Cagney's is an a la carte restaurant with a traditional thirties steak house feel. Some of the menu highlights include: several steak cuts along with lamb, veal and pork chops; surf and turf; grilled yellowfin tuna steak, grilled salmon, jumbo shrimp skewers and a fried fisherman's platter. Guests can make reservations at the reservations desk situated on deck seven.

La Cucina

This brilliant a la carte dining venue offers fantastic Italian food like pizza and pasta, fresh salads, Italian desserts, great wine and Italian drinks like espresso and cappuccinos to round off your meal.

Moderno Churrascaria

This delightful South American restaurant has an a la carte menu and opens daily for dinner. It is located on deck eight and operates on a red and green card system. If you haven't seen this before it means that if you pick green, the waiters will keep offering you tasty skewers of barbecued meats which is carved at your table and once you are full, you simply indicate your red card to stop service. It is a real treat and comes highly recommended to meat lovers.

Ocean Blue

This beautiful a la carte restaurant has some of the best and freshest seafood dishes available on the high seas. There are too many exciting dishes to mention but appetisers include: oysters, chilled shrimp, salmon trout tartare, blue crab salad and ahi tuna sashimi; clam chowder, oyster stew, baked clams, broiled oysters and crabmeat and black mussels.

Wasabi

This select Japanese dining room is an A la carte extra charge traditional sushi bar complete with a Yakitori grill. They serve fresh sushi and sashimi in a stylish Japanese setting. The yakitori dishes are perfect for those who don't like sushi and they also have a decent sake menu for those who want to try a carafe of this famous Japanese rice wine. They open daily between noon and 3 PM and have dinner from PM to midnight. They do not have a discount children's menu and reservations are recommended.

Cirque Dreams and Dinner

This theatrical dinner venue has two shows: the Cirque Dreams and Dinner and the Wine Lovers the Musical. Expect a multi course meal while being thoroughly entertained by acrobats in the former and musicians in the latter. Both are thoroughly worth the extra fee, and the Wine Lovers Musical is a must for those wanting to try some of the best wines out there.
