Being the namesake of the Jewel-Class cruise ships, Norwegian Jewel's got it all. As well as offering some of the largest suites and villas at sea, there are staterooms to accommodate everyone's need and budget. When it comes to food and entertainment, this ship´s filled with excitement, restaurant, bars and lounges.

Like her sister ships, the Norwegian Jewel uses a "Freestyle" cruising concept, which allows you to dine in any number of restaurants, in casual attire, at times of your choosing. This ship is famous for having ties to Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, is her godmother. She underwent an extensive dry dock revitalisation at the end of 2018 and her destinations include: Asia, Alaska, Australia & New Zealand, Hawaii, and more.

Restaurants

Tsar's Palace

This incredible main dining room opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. It shares its menu with Azura and serves several courses of freshly prepared cuisine. You can eat your meals at any time within the opening times but try to show up at least half an hour before the meal ends to avoid any rush. The menu for dinner offers a choice of two options, one being classic selections which are served every day and the second option on the menu is the chef's signature specialities which change daily and is really popular amongst the foodies on board.

Azura

The impressive Norwegian Jewel's second main dining room shares a menu with the Tsar's Palace and opens for dinner daily between 5:30 PM and 10 PM. It's popular with health enthusiasts who prefer their lighter and healthier take on meals.

Garden Cafe

The lovely Garden Cafe buffet offers food all day and their nights often has themed according to a certain area, such as Asian or French night. While there's plenty of space available, the seats become much busier during their peak hours that range from 8 to 9:30 am on port days and noon to 1 pm for lunch on sea days. They serve daily breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as having some evening snacks available.

O'Sheehan's Neighbourhood Bar & Grill

O'Sheehans is open 24 hours a day and is the perfect place to get your fill of British style breakfasts and pub food. Expect a full English breakfast and pub classics like fish and chips and chicken wings.

Cagney's

Cagney's steak house is an a la carte restaurant with a thirties traditional steak house feel. You will find it on deck thirteen and it seats up to 160 diners. It is a reservation only restaurant which is open from 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM daily. Guests can make reservation at the reservations desk situated on deck seven. The Norwegian Jewel's suite guests can join them for a more upmarket breakfast where they serve premium items like smoked salmon and freshly squeezed fruit juices.

Teppanyaki

This Japanese select dining venue located on deck seven only serves 32 guests at a time for dinner, so reservations come highly recommended. It is situated inside the bigger Chin Chin's venue and opens daily from 5:30 PM to 10 PM. What's special about this restaurant is that you can see the expert Asian chefs preparing your meal with their superior knife skills and iron "Teppan" griddle.

Chin Chin

The pan-Asian eatery serves a mouth-watering selection of Chinese, Japanese and Thai food, including a la carte sushi. On full or half sea days, the sushi and sashimi also are available for lunch at the small sushi bar.

Le Bistro

This remarkable restaurant has classically French decor, with stylish indoor seating as well as more relaxed alfresco outdoor seating. It has some of the best French cuisine available ranging from appetisers, soups and salads to meats and seafood, and some classic desserts such as Apple Tatin and Creme Brulee.

La Cucina

This brilliant a la carte dining venue offers fantastic Italian food like pizza and pasta, fresh salads, Italian desserts, great wine and Italian drinks like espresso and cappuccinos to round off your meal. Children are welcome and those under the age of twelve can eat for free from the normal kidâ€™s menu.

Moderno Churrascaria

This delightful South American restaurant has an a la carte menu and opens daily for dinner. It is located on deck eight and operates on a red and green card system. If you haven't seen this before it means that if you pick green, the waiters will keep offering you tasty skewers of barbecued meats which is carved at your table and once you are full, you simply indicate your red card to stop service. It is a real treat and comes highly recommended to meat lovers.

Bars and Lounges

Shakers Martini and Cocktail Bar

The chic surroundings have a James Bond style as well as a sixties and seventies feel. Cocktail lovers love this venue as they serve some of the best cocktails and martinis on board. They are open from 3 PM until very late.

Sake Bar

This Japanese rice wine bar is located on deck seven opens daily from 5:30 PM until it closes late at night. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a variety of premium sake drinks a well as some imported Japanese beer. The bar is situated inside the Orchard Garden Asian Restaurant.

Java Cafe and Bar

Lovers of coffee will enjoy getting their daily caffeine fix here, even if you have to pay a little extra. The reason is that they sell premium coffees and teas, which comes with free cupcake, muffins, scones, biscuits and pastries. You can enjoy the live music from the Crystal Atrium and in the evening, they serve wine and some cocktail.

Magnum's Champagne & Wine Bar

The stylish decor is inspired by the Art Nouveau era with elements and colours reflecting Charles Rennie Mackintosh's designs. Entertainment on offer ranges from guitar and piano music to trivia, goofy golf competitions and scavenger hunts.

Maltings

The Maltings beer and whiskey Bar seats up to 40 guests, can be found mid ship on deck six, and has a backdrop reflecting the production of beer. They offer beer and tequila tastings and host scavenger hunts and air some sporting events for guests entertainment.

FYZZ Cabaret Lounge & Bar

This karaoke lounge has stylish mood lighting, a bubble-themed carpet and blue and purple bubbly chairs. There are three colour coded karaoke rooms to book for group sessions. Come on, try out your favourite song!

O'Sheehan's Bar

O'Sheehans is open 24 hours a day and is the perfect place to get your fill of "proper" beer. In fact, they have the largest selection of domestic and imported beer on the ship and also have two TV's playing sporting events.

Sugarcane Mojito Bar

You will find this little treasure on deck thirteen and it offers indoor and outdoor seating. It's a Latin American style bar which has some great deals on mojitos, rum punches, pisco sours and a speciality drink called the Saturn landing.

Spinnaker Lounge

This second entertainment show lounge, has been lovingly decorated in blue and beige mixed with comfy new leather arm chairs. It's a great place to relax during the day with its Cuba-inspired artwork and fantastic panoramic sea views. It's served by its own bar, and features a dance floor, which really comes alive later in the evenings after 11 pm, when this becomes an adult only venue. Everyone is however welcome during the day, when it hosts game shows, dance classes and bingo games.

Activities

Stardust Theatre

The ship's impressive main theatre has two main evening performances at 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM. They have a whole host of difference shows to ensure that there is something for everyone. This range from musicals, to Vegas shows, and everything else including Bollywood, comedy sketches and acrobatics.

Exclusive to Norwegian Jewel, the "Le Cirque Bijou" show provides a mesmerizing journey of artistic and high-flying acrobatic performances for some of the most amazing entertainment at sea.

Casino

The casino is on deck six and is available to all guests over the age of 18. It has several gaming tables and slots and can host up to 312 guests at any time. Some favourite games include: Craps, Blackjack, Roulette, Let it Ride, Baccarat, Poker, and Texas Hold'Em. Guests are allowed to smoke cigarettes here, but you will have to smoke cigars and pipes outside.

Mandara Spa

The Mandara Spa offers several treatment rooms, a thermal suite and salt room, as well as a full-service salon and barber shop. Allow yourself to be pampered by some of the best spa treatments available.

Fitness Centre

The gym features equipment like treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machines, bikes and free weights. Fitness staff offer world class personal training and group fitness classes, some of which are charged for.

Jogging Track

Runners and walkers can use the ship's outer promenade on Deck 7 or the jogging track on Deck 13.

Outdoor Recreation

Norwegian Jewel has plenty of outdoor facilities to help burn the excess calories consumed at the buffet. It has a sports deck on deck thirteen and a basketball court which can also be converted into a tennis or volleyball court. It also has soccer goal posts and golf driving nets and an oversized chess set. Those who enjoy walking or jogging can make use of the jogging track on the same deck, which equals a mile per 5.5 laps.

Pools

The Deck 12 is the pool deck, where you'll find two pools and four hot tubs (which are open late). The pools are accessible to people with disabilities and there are plenty of comfy deck chairs where you can relax and soak up some sun. Suite passengers can also make use of the private and exclusive Haven courtyard and pool on deck fourteen.

Kids Clubs

The Splash Academy is split into three age appropriate groups for little ones, kids and teenagers. If you want to enjoy some activities with your children, check out their daily Freestyle activity schedule for some ideas.

They can even enrol in Circus School where they will learn and perform all kinds of skills and cool tricks in their workshops.
