Following the NCL popular easy-going Freestyle Cruising concept, it allows guests to do what they want, when they want. This spectacular ship is perfect for families, couples and single travellers who want to travel in style.

If you're looking for a Hawaiian cruise, Pride of America is your ship, especially if you only have a week available. It's probably the best seven-day Hawaiian cruise available as they don't have any sea days, which means you will be able to spend time on a Hawaiian island every day of your trip. This means time is maximised in Honolulu, Maui, the Big Island of Hawaii and Kauai.

Restaurants

Skyline

This main dining room opens for waiter served breakfast (7.00 am to 9.00 am), lunch (12.00 pm to 2.00 pm) and dinner (5.30 pm to 9.30 pm). You will find it on deck five and the decor is inspired by the 1930's New York art deco period. Lunch is a three-course meal and dinner has two options. You can either choose from the Classic Selections which are staples that served every day or the Chef's Selection, which is a bit more adventurous and changes daily.

Liberty

Liberty is Pride of America's second main dining room, is more formal, and only opens for dinner. You will find it on deck six and the decor is inspired by American history, stars and stripes. Beach wear and shorts are not permitted, and the opening times are from 5.30 pm and 9.00 pm. It shares its menu with Skyline and has the same two options available for dinner. Like all other Norwegian Cruises ships, they have freestyle dining, which means you can decide what time you would like to eat within the opening times.

East Meets West

This delightful Asian Fusion restaurant offers dishes from East Asia and South Asia such as Kung Pao chicken, udon noodles, fried rice and more. East Meets West is open for dinner from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm and reservations are recommended.

Cadillac Diner

This friendly diner is open around the clock and is a really good restaurant for the whole family. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a special kids menu. While food is free, milkshakes are charged for.

Aloha Cafe/ Kids Cafe

This large buffet restaurant offers a whole host of mouth-watering options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is well laid out and there is enough space that it never feels crowded.

Kids love this venue as they have the option to sit with their families or to go enjoy the Kid's Cafe next door, where all the food are kids favourites such as mac and cheese, chicken fingers and jelly.

Jefferson's Bistro

This French bistro is on deck five, which serves 84 guests and has a cover charge. Its decor was designed to look exactly like Thomas Jefferson's library in Monticello. Children can eat half price from the from the speciality kids menu or for free if they are under the age of three or eat from the regular kid's menu.

Sushi Bar

Here, you can grab a seat at the bar and watch the chefs roll your sushi to order. Ten types of rolls are available, plus sashimi and nigiri upon request.

Teppanyaki

This intimate Japanese dining venue only serves a small number of guests at any one time, so reservations come highly recommended. This unique restaurant allows you to see Japanese hibachi meals cooked in front of you by chefs performing tricks with the food and their cooking utensils.

Cagney's Steakhouse

Cagney's is an exquisite a la carte restaurant with a lovely traditional thirties steak house feel. Some of the menu highlights include: several steak cuts along with lamb, veal and pork chops; surf and turf; grilled yellowfin tuna steak, grilled salmon, jumbo shrimp skewers and a fried fisherman's platter.

Moderno Churrascaria

This delightful South American restaurant has an a la carte menu and opens daily for dinner. It operates on a red and green card system: if you pick green, the waiters will keep offering you tasty skewers of barbecued meats which is carved at your table and once you are full, you simply indicate your red card to stop service. It is a real treat and comes highly recommended to meat lovers.

La Cucina

This brilliant a la carte dining venue offers fantastic Italian food like pizza and pasta, fresh salads, Italian desserts, great wine and Italian drinks like espresso and cappuccinos to round off your meal. Children are welcome and those under the age of twelve can eat for free from the normal kid's menu.

Bars and Lounges

Napa Wine Bar

The Napa wine bar is situated midship on deck six and serves a large and impressive selection of wines by the glass. They have a great selection of live music on offer, including guitar and Ukulele players and do wine tastings and champagne tastings. This is served with a fruit and cheese platter and a wine expert to help answer all your wine or champagne related questions.

John Adams Coffee Bar

Guests wishing to purchase double, vanilla, soy or extra hot latte with foam can stop by at John Adam's Coffee Bar on deck 5, midship, to enjoy a speciality coffee or tea along with complimentary pastries and cookies. They offer entertainment including music and trivia competitions available for guests enjoyment.

Gold Rush Saloon

The Gold Rush Saloon, located on midship of deck eleven, is a full bar serving a big selection of wine, cocktails and beer. It has beer on tap and is very popular for its evening entertainment. This varies from playing darts or billiards or watching live sporting events on their big flat screen TV. They also have karaoke evenings, beer tastings and trivia competitions.

Mardi Gras Cabaret Lounge and Nightclub

This New Orleans-style nightclub offers drinks and entertainment throughout the week, from trivia to interactive game shows to to dance classes like ballroom, swing, and Hawaiian dance. After 11 PM, it is only open to over 18's for drinking and dancing, and it plays host to the White Hot Party.

Pink's Champagne Bar

Pinks is a real favourite with guests enjoying a pre or post dinner drink. They have a large variety of champagne on offer as well as some piano entertainment, including fun sing alongs. It's great for guests who prefer a more intimate show than the large theatre ones on board.

Aloha Lanai Bar

You'll find this bar on deck eleven, behind the Aloha Cafe. Try visiting this bar while the Pride of America casts off from each Hawaiian island.

Waikiki Bar

This is the only bar on board which allows smoking. Here you can have a cigarette while trying out a craft cocktail and enjoying the view that overlooks the Oasis pool.

Activities

The Hollywood Theatre

This main theatre is located on deck five and have two shows per night. The show lounge is slightly smaller than the other Norwegian Cruises theatres at 2,000 square feet. I can accommodate 880 people and has a photo area where you can get your picture taken on the red carpet. During the week-long Hawaiian cruise, you can see "Vegas! The Show" and "Oh What A Night!", a Jersey Boys-style tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons; as well as and sets by professional comedians.

Mandara Spa

The Mandara Spa offers several treatment rooms, a thermal suite and salt room, as well as a full-service salon and barber shop. Allow yourself to be pampered by some of the best spa treatments available.

The spa's thermal suite is brilliant for a day of pampering and includes a thalassotherapy pool and heated ceramic loungers, a eucalyptus steam room, ocean-view sauna, whirlpool tubs, ice-cold plunge pool and comfortable chaise longues.

Pulse Fitness Centre

The gym features TechnoGym equipment like treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machines, bikes and free weights. Fitness staff offer world class personal training and group fitness classes, some of which are charged for.

Outdoor Recreation

The Pride of America has a jogging track on deck six, where three laps will earn you a mile. They also have impressive sports facilities on decks eleven, twelve and thirteen, where you can play basketball or volleyball, or partake in other games such as tennis, shuffle board, or even fun games of oversized chess and checkers.

Kids Clubs

The Splash Academy on deck twelve is split into three age appropriate groups for little ones, kids and teenagers. It has a mat play area, movie room, and arts and crafts items. Programs include everything from Mission Impossible nights to competitive nights at the sports court.
