Princess Cruises have announced additional Mediterranean voyages for the inaugural season of its newest, largest, and most innovative ship, Sun Princess. The season will include itineraries which start or end in Southampton. As previously announced by the line, the 4,300-guest Sun Princess will sail on a 10-night Grand Mediterranean inaugural voyage on February 8, 2024.

The new Sun Princess will be in Southampton on September 22 and 23, 2024.

The full European season aboard Sun Princess includes 10-night itineraries visiting popular stops throughout the Western and Eastern Mediterranean and a series of seven-night voyages departing from either Barcelona, Rome (Civitavecchia) or Athens, which can be combined for 14-night or 21-night voyages.

Currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the largest Princess ship ever constructed embraces Italian heritage by featuring a freshly designed Piazza and a new cutting-edge entertainment space, The Dome, inspired by the terraces of Santorini. The 175,500-tonne Sun Princess will feature more than 29 restaurants and bars and 21 decks. There will be more than 1,500 balcony staterooms, and all balcony and oceanview staterooms boast an in-room sofa.

Part of Carnival Corporation's green cruising focus, Sun Princess will be the first Princess ship and one of 11 new vessels in the corporate fleet powered by Liquified Natural Gas (LNG).

Sun Princess will also feature the Princess Medallion Experience that extends Princess leadership position in delivering exceptional and customised experiences at an unmatched scale, offering guests personalised service only previously found on small ships.

The best Pizza at Sea now serving woodfire-style pizza! This charming sit-down venue located on the top deck of the Piazza offers an enticing menu of freshly prepared individual-size pizzas. The open kitchen design allows you to watch as the chefs create pizza by hand and serve them straight out of a woodfire-style oven. The seating extends outside where you can enjoy your pizza alfresco or in the Piazza.

International Cafe

The International cafe, now located on the top deck of the Piazza, is the place for an ever-changing array of small-bite meals, treats and gourmet beverages. Grab a freshly baked croissant to start your day, snack on pies and quiche or choose from a wide variety of salads and sandwiches at lunchtime and indulge in decadent desserts in the evening. Grab a bite, take a seat and enjoy the live performances and amazing unique views in the Piazza.

Horizons Dining Room

Introducing a three-story dining room (a first for us)! This newly imagined space is open and flexible, featuring dining options to suit every mood. Stunning wake views and natural light highlight a decorative sculpture that stretches from deck 6 to deck 8. Each level offers a different dining experience youll want to try them all!

Crown Grill

Our iconic Crown Grill experience goes next level with a modern, sleek design and theater-style kitchen. Featuring premium aged beef and fresh seafood items, this specialty restaurant offers an intimate dining experience in a classically elegant setting and an open kitchen where chefs prepare and cook to order top-quality cuts of beef, chops and seafood. The Sun Princess Crown Grill is adjacent to Princes Live! and the Princess Arena and is sure to be a go-to destination.

It's more than ocean vistas in every direction; it's being immersed in the world around you like never before. The heartbeat of our ship, our Piazza may have been inspired by the town squares of Europe, but her evolution is out of this world.

Bellini's Cocktail Bar

Welcome to Bellini's. Where imaginative concoctions come to life in a sophisticated venue that seems to float above the vibrant life in the Piazza below. Sip a Bellini-inspired specialty cocktail, champagne or sparkling wine while watching the spectacle of street performers and live music unfold. Don't miss this iconic venue of the Royal-class Atrium, the ship's centerpiece for casual relaxation and fun.

Crooners

Now located on the second level of the Piazza with can't-miss views out the Piazza's spherical window. The reimagined atmosphere of warm tones and a vintage vibe set the mood for live music, cocktails and great conversation. Step into Crooners bar and be transported to the classic Sinatra era, made complete with a top-notch pianist singing tunes and tickling the ivories. The famous menu of signature martinis and old-school mixed drinks will have you crooning.

Wheelhouse Bar

The space was inspired by the maps and charts of ocean travel, featuring a compass-like structure that extrudes from the floor up to the ceiling. Soft forms and a crisp palette are a nod to the opulence of luxury yachts. It is the perfect spot for a quick pre-dinner drink, or stay for longer and watch the world go by.

Wake View Terrace

If you enjoy taking in the views from the back of the ship, you'll love our brand-new Wake View Terrace. It has everything you could want: infinity pool, South Beach-style resort deck, entertainment day and night and (most importantly) a full bar. All guests are welcome to kick back here with their favorite drinks and favorite people.

Infinite Horizon Tilt Wall

For those who love heights, leaning tilt walls cantilevered over the side of the ship allow guests to peer out from deck 19 and look down to deck nine and beyond.

Splash Pad & The Lookout

The Lookout, At the top of the climbing structure, adventurers make their way to The Lookout open-air observation deck to take in stunning 360º views from the highest point available to guests onboard Sun Princess.

The Dome

Inspired by the terraces of Santorini, The Dome is a multi-level covered deck and first-of-its-kind true glass-enclosed dome ever constructed on a cruise ship. During the day, the Dome features an indoor/outdoor pool, and unique water feature, in a comfortable and relaxed space. At night, the pool becomes a stage, and the Dome completely transforms into an entertainment venue with a South Beach vibe, state-of-the-art lighting effects and the ability to deliver stunning aerial performances.

Solarium

Sanctuary

If you haven't tried The Sanctuary yet, this is your open invitation to spend a half or full day in a retreat that's only for adults and soaking up every bit of relaxation you can. Sip on a signature beverage, or work the knots out with an al fresco massage.

Sea View Terrace
