Your floating resort

Onboard Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas you can visit some of the most stunning destinations across Europe and the Caribbean. She was completed and debuted in the Spring of 2004 and is Royal Caribbean's last Radiance-class ship.

It's also easy to see why she is sometimes referred to the Jewel in Royal Caribbean's crown.

She had a full twenty-million-pound renovation in 2016, which added new staterooms and twenty-four new balconies. They also added three new restaurants and wine bars and improved their broadband. Outside they have added a poolside movie screen and a rock-climbing wall.

Chef's Table

The Chef's Table has mandatory reservations and quite a hefty cover charge. It is however, worth the fee, as it offers great food and wine. As well as the food courses with expertly paired wines, the sous chef also introduces every course and explains how the dish was prepared. The sommelier then describes the wine and all guests get an autographed copy of their Savor Cook book as a memento. Everyone meets up in the library for a pre-dinner glass of bubbly before sitting down for the meal.

Tides

Tides, the Independence of the Seas' main dining room spans decks 4 and 5 and also features two private dining areas called the Seaside and the Shorewide. The dining room on deck four opens for breakfast between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM and for lunch between noon and 1:30 PM. If you don't have a lot of time for lunch, you can opt for their special thirty-minute lunch, which gets you back to your activities quicker. They have two fixed dinner times at 6 PM and 8:30 PM respectively. They offer the more flexible My Time Dining on deck 5, which means you can make a reservation any time between 5:30 PM and 9:30 PM. While reservations aren't obligatory they are recommended.

Giovanni's

Jewel of the Seas' Giovanni's Table is a classy Italian Trattoria with both indoor and al fresco eating options. If you're after rustic authentic Italian food, this is the place for you. There is a cover charge per person but it's well worth it in our opinion.

Izumi

The Izumi Japanese Cuisine restaurant on deck 12 offers a la carte pricing for their fantastic food offerings. The décor is sleek and modern with Asian art on the walls and a massive sushi bar in the middle of the room. It overlooks the Esplanade and serves fresh sushi and sashimi. The prices are reasonable compared to what you pay on land and they also have some noodle dishes and salads available for those who don't fancy sushi.

Park Cafe

The Park cafe can be found in Jewel of the Seas' Central Park neighbourhood and opens for breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. The focus here is on healthy eating, with walk up counters. If you're on a health kick you can enjoy one of their fresh fruit cups for dessert. For everyone else, they also serve cheesecakes, brownies, cookies and tarts.

Chops Grille

Chops Grille is on the Jewel of the Seas' 6th deck and is a popular New York and Chicago Steakhouse, which charges a cover fee. Meat lovers will enjoy their grade-A premium cuts of steak, cooked just how you like it, ranging from blue to well done. They also have fresh sea food, some great side dishes, and some impressive signature desserts. The restaurant opens for dinner daily from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Windjammer

The Windjammer buffet Cafe can be found on deck eleven and has plenty of seats available. There is a great selection of food stations on offer including Carvery, Asian Flavours, Seafood, Pasta, Vegetables and Salads, Daily Specials and Desserts. It also has a 24-hour coffee, tea and water station. If you'd like a sweet treat on the go, they have soft serve ice cream just outside Windjammers next to the pool. It serves breakfast from 7 AM to 11 AM, lunch from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and dinner from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
