Ocean Cay

Ocean Cay is MSC Seaview's speciality seafood restaurant on Deck 16, where fresh fish, shellfish and bolder plates take centre stage. Try scallop a la Gallega with Iberian ham, or king-crab fideuà if you fancy giving fish and chips a night off.

There are just 32 seats and dinner is the only sitting, so reserve ahead. Finish with chocolate hot cake and gianduja ice cream, because good planning should always leave room for pudding.

Butcher's Cut

For a proper steak night, head to this American-style steakhouse on Deck 16. Select Linz heritage Angus beef is custom-cut by master butchers and aged before it reaches your plate, with flavours inspired by the Great Plains.

Choose an 8-ounce filet mignon or 14-ounce New York sirloin, then pick a sauce and side. Pair it with an American-influenced cocktail or New World wine, and book ahead, as speciality dining is subject to availability.

Sushi Bar

A contemporary sushi stop within Deck 16's Asian Market Kitchen, where tradition meets a sharper, modern edge. You can choose sushi, sashimi, generous sharing combinations and signature Futomaki and Uramaki rolls, prepared on the spot by expert chefs.

Going with a Kaito Special Combo? It comes with miso soup on the sample menu, a tidy little bonus before the main event.

Pan Asian Restaurant

Pan Asian Restaurant on Deck 16 brings Japanese, Hawaiian and European fusion together, with sea views adding a little theatre to dinner. You can choose from fresh sushi, sashimi, maki, tempura, soups and rice dishes.

Come for lunch or dinner when you fancy something beyond the usual. Evening reservations are recommended, which is sensible when the menu includes spicy tan tan ramen and pan-fried noodles.

L'Atelier Bistro

On Deck 8, L'Atelier Bistrot is your convivial French corner at sea, made for lingering over small plates and sharing a little of everything. Start with cheese and charcuterie, Quiche Lorraine or French onion soup.

For something more substantial, there is Dover sole meunière, moules marinières and pan-fried ribeye with homemade fries. Pair it with a French wine, then make room for crème brûlée. Sensible trousers are optional.

Ocean Point Restaurant & Buffet

On Deck 16 at the aft of the ship, Ocean Point is your casual Mediterranean buffet with sea views, open kitchens and the Panorama Pool just next door. Watch the chefs at work while you choose from pizza, panini, wraps, burgers, salads, fruit and vegan options.

It is particularly handy for families, with child-height counters and familiar dishes for younger diners. Themed dinner nights can bring Mexican or Asian flavours into the mix, so there is more to it than a quick poolside bite.

Golden Sand

Golden Sand is your main dining room at the aft of Deck 5, serving Mediterranean and international dishes from breakfast through to dinner. Walk in through a wine cellar style tunnel, then settle in for a menu that changes daily.

Fresh pasta made onboard, risotto, fish, meat and vegetarian choices keep things nicely varied. Dinner may use assigned seating, so check your time once onboard.

Silver Dolphin

At the aft of Deck 6, Silver Dolphin makes dinner feel like part of the evening rather than a pit stop. Mediterranean and international dishes change daily, with plenty of reasons to give your usual order a night off.

Fresh pasta, risotto and warm apple strudel have all featured on published menus, alongside vegetarian and gluten-free options. There are set dinner times, so check your onboard programme before planning that pre-dinner drink.

Venchi 1878

For a proper chocolate stop, head to Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar on Deck 6 in the main atrium. This Italian chocolate factory and coffee bar serves coffee, gelato, crêpes, pralines and chocolate-based cocktails.

You can watch Venchi maîtres chocolatiers at work through the glass window onto the kitchen laboratory. Try the MSC-exclusive Crunchy Waves gelato flavour, then decide whether one scoop was ever going to be enough.

Bars and Lounges

Champagne Bar

A glass of something sparkling, a plate of fresh oysters, and a prime spot above the action. Champagne Bar on Deck 7 overlooks the main atrium, making it a rather civilised place to pause before the evening gets going.

You can choose champagne or sparkling wines selected from producers around the world, with caviar and fish also on the menu. It gets busier before and after dinner, so arrive early if you prefer a quieter table.

Aurea Bar

A relaxing outdoor pool bar on Deck 19, Coral Sea, serving the Top 19 Exclusive Solarium. Settle in with a colada, margarita, long drink or frozen refreshment, with the whirlpool close by.

This is a quieter corner for Aurea Experience guests, ideal when your sun lounger requires a suitable companion.

Garage Club

By day, Garage Club is a teen venue. By night, it shifts into Deck 7’s 1950s diner themed nightclub, complete with neon signs, a dance floor and a classic car turned DJ booth.

Bring your dancing shoes and choose from long drinks, Spritz & Co, premium cocktails or mocktails. It sits beside the amusement arcade, and can keep going into the early hours.

Haven Lounge

Settle into Haven Lounge on Deck 7, where live music gives your evening drinks a proper soundtrack. Choose a signature MSC cocktail, a classic, or ask for something made to order from the extensive bar menu.

There is a stage and dance floor when sitting still feels rather overrated. The lounge also leads towards the Sunset Beach Bar area, handy if you fancy continuing the evening elsewhere.

Jungle Beach Bar

Jungle Beach Bar keeps you close to the covered pool on Deck 18, Caribbean, with fresh-fruit cocktails and juices on hand.

The sliding roof means the pool area is made for changing weather. Find a seat, order something fruity and let the poolside mood do the rest.

Shine Bar

A handy pre dinner perch on Deck 6, close to the main dining room. Meet friends over an aperitif, stay for an after dinner drink, and sample vodka, whisky or rum tastings if you fancy giving your usual order the night off.

Chairs circle a small stage for live music, while the nearby Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar adds another excuse to linger. Opening hours can vary by sailing.

Top Sail Lounge

Set at the front of the ship on Deck 16, Top Sail Lounge gives MSC Yacht Club guests a panoramic place to pause, coffee in hand or craft cocktail at the ready.

Gourmet finger food appears throughout the day, while evenings bring live music. You have 24-hour access, though swimwear is not permitted and smart-casual is the sensible choice after dark.

Wine & Cocktails

Waiting for your table at one of the speciality restaurants? Wine & Cocktails on Deck 16 is your rather civilised answer. Settle in with an aperitif before dinner, then return afterwards for a glass of wine and a proper recap of the evening.

With a wine tasting area and 59 seats, it is made for easing gracefully into, or out of, dinner.

Panorama Bar

Poolside on Deck 16, Panorama Bar keeps you within easy reach of the Panorama Pool and those wide sea views. Order a frozen cocktail, beer, wine or soft drink, then get back to the serious business of lounging.

It is also the ship's main poolside ice cream bar, serving Venchi artisanal ice cream made fresh daily. A useful stop when the sun calls for something colder.

Platinum Casino

Fancy watching the cards fall without taking a seat at the table? Platinum Casino on Deck 7 has a specially designed lower bar, open to the gaming action, with its own bar menu and a cool drink close at hand.

When you are ready to play, you can choose from roulette, blackjack, poker and slot machines. Casino gaming carries an extra charge, and you must be at least 18 to gamble.

Seaview Bar

Meet friends at Seaview Bar on Deck 5, the Mediterranean deck, for an aperitif before dinner. It is a smart little pause between plans, and a good excuse to start the evening properly.

Choose your preferred drink, or let the professional mixologist prepare a Martini. Your drinks package may cover eligible choices, so it is worth checking before you order.

Sports Bar

A proper American-style sports bar on Deck 8, where you can settle into a private booth, order an international beer or cocktail and keep one eye firmly on the fixture. Buffalo chicken wings cover the snack situation rather nicely.

Big screens, football-themed beanbags and karaoke give this place more than one way to raise the volume. No reservation is required, so simply wander in from the promenade deck when the mood strikes.

Activities & Entertainment

Zip Line

Take the race to the top deck. You can ride side by side on two zip lines that sweep over the ship's side, travelling from Deck 20 to Deck 18. It is the sort of sea view that comes with a little extra zip.

Check you meet the 122 cm minimum height and 35 kg to 130 kg weight limits before you go.

Mini and Juniors Clubs

Small sailors, big plans. The Mini Club on Deck 11 gives 3 to 6 year olds games, events, LEGO® play and arts and crafts, while 7 to 11 year olds can head to the Juniors Club on Deck 12.

You can register your children on board, then let them tackle Fire & Ice or MasterChef at Sea Juniors while you enjoy a little time of your own. Check the onboard programme for that day’s timetable.

Teen Club

For guests aged 15 to 17, the Teen Club on Deck 18 is where the younger crowd can claim a bit of holiday independence. Think sports, competitions, karaoke and gaming tournaments on Wii, Xbox and PlayStation.

Dance contests, flash mobs and themed events keep things moving, while Teen Club editions of Silent Disco, Golden Party and Quiz O’clock add extra reasons to join in. Check the daily programme, as activities and hours may vary by sailing.

Interactive XD Cinema

On Deck 7, the Indian Ocean deck, this Interactive XD Dark Ride Cinema turns a film into a multi-sensory, immersive attraction. You do not just watch from the sidelines, you interact with the action, which makes it rather more lively than your average cinema visit.

There are only eight seats, so pop by when you spot a quieter moment. It is first come, first served in most cases, and you need to be at least 110 cm tall to take part.

Disco

When the evening calls for one more song, head to Garage Club on Deck 7. This 1950s diner theme disco has neon signs, a jukebox and a classic car turned DJ booth, plus a dance floor ready for your best moves.

Choose from long drinks, Spritz & Co, premium cocktails or mocktails, then dance until you decide the night is done. By day, the space is dedicated to teenagers.

F1 Simulator

Put yourself in the driver’s seat for a virtual-reality F1 race on Deck 7, Indian Ocean. You can go head-to-head with fellow guests, so there is every chance a little friendly rivalry will become rather less friendly.

The simulator is rated medium difficulty. Check the height and weight requirements before you queue, then focus on the racing line and try not to blame the virtual car.

Billiard Room

The Billiard Room & Library is where you swap the louder nearby attractions for a civilised game and a little peace. Expect the gentle click of billiard balls, low-key conversation and enough calm to make taking your time feel like a very good plan.

You will find it on Deck 7, the Indian Ocean deck. Bring a book, line up a shot, or do both, this is your quieter corner when the ship is in full swing.
